Have you tested your water?
Yes
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

So I was working on getting a window tint background on my 29 growout tank, and a little bit of the attachment solution got in the tank
Literally just a drop from the sponge I was applying it with but it still got in
I drained the tank, pulled all the fish, moved the tank and put my background on while the tank was empty, put everything back in
The solution is just water and sodiumdodecylbenzenesulfonate
I couldn't find much on it in regards to fish but what I did find was it acts as a detergent and messes with their ability to filter toxins with their gills
It was probably about 1 ml or two in the 29 and the were exposed to it for no more than 5 minutes
Will the fish be fine if anyone knows?

Ive got no idea how it will affect them, sounds like you acted quickly.
I guess the obvious solution would be to do a decent water change everyday and if the fish start acting weird take them out and put them in a bucket or another tank and drain it all again.
Probably you will be ok but id stil do daily water changes for a few days at least.
Good luck....

Doesn’t seem like a lot for into the system. Not sure how it’ll react to the fish. But the water changes will help as Ogertron3000 Ogertron3000 has mentioned. Keep the thread updated when you can. Not sure if carbon would work on that chemical. Best of luck.

13 hours into it and everything seems to be fine so far, none of the swimming issues or breathing problems I read about in the experiments. I'll do a big wc after my online classes are over but in the meantime, do you think adding carbon would help too?
