Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

My Adonis pleco is about 2 and 1/2 years old now and for about 1 and 1/2 years it’s had this “growth” on its eye. I’m not sure if anyone else has seen this before but I would love to know a way to get rid of it. I can’t test the water right now but I know the water is just fine because I have had about 7 other plecos for 2 years and I just got 2 dwarf gourami’s in the tank. Plus I’ve been growing out Otos in the tank for about 9 months. The water is fine.3C1D85E9-2C50-46F4-B68C-6597E8C88C28.jpegFE3A5E12-CAFA-4124-9404-C915CDC9AB7F.jpegAEF5D65E-230F-4878-BCBD-B79AB5B9A359.jpegB2263262-4306-4E86-AA78-88D3C63E94E7.jpeg

Looks tumor like. Is it acting normal?

Yeah it’s been fine for the entire time it’s had it. Nothing wrong in behavior or anything. It still eats. The only noticable thing is that it definitely cannot see out of that eye now. It has also had it for like 1 1/2 to 2 1/2years. The only thing I can think of it being is a birth defect but I know it didn’t have this when I got it.

Yeah, it looks like cancerous growth unfortunately....maybe melanoma. Not sure what you can do. Maybe you can contact a fish vet like that guy on Youtube
