So I am sitting in my room and I hear this loud sound, it sounds like a fire truck in my neghiborhood. It gets really loud wakes up my dad and were like wtf??? So we walk out front and they are rolling around with Santa Claus on a Fire Truck through the neghiborhood, handing out hot choco and rainderr treats....... that was uhm intresting to say in the least, thats how we do in FL...apparently. So does this happen to any of you often?

Well, around my house there is a lot of horse ranches, so people tend to use sleights (spelling?) and hook the horses on it with Santa. Kinda nice, one of the perks of snow I guess 
For years my Dad played Santa and the Bass Lake Fire Dept. would drive him to parties and benefits.

poor santa. yah thats what it looks like here. O__o guess the fire trucks are a fl thing, we dont get sleighs and snow haha. Its ok I can do with out. Although it gets warmer ever x-mas the cool air kinda gave it a more xmasish feeling. oh well.
They do it in many Long Island NY towns as well. Tax dollars hard at work. It's nice for the kids though.
Yah, but then I again I can see citys and stuff doing but this is more like are homeowners associations money hard at work, cuse it only goes to our neghiborhood, the dude that plays santa is from the hoa, I fig. that out just a bit ago. I guess its nice but I never see that many little kids here anymore, it was just odd cuse I though someone house on fire.
My town is to poor to be wasting the fire trucks gas by taking santa out to local neighborhoods. They even did away with the dog catcher.
THat's pretty cool that the local fire departments do that sort of thing. It goes on here in my town as well, the kids get a real kick out of it!!!!!
The sad thing is, give it time. Some looser with nothing better to do will complain about how santa & Christmas is offensive to them and ruin it for everyone. Happening more & more every year.
I have Santa, Christmas trees and Merry Christmas signs up at my shop. Let 'em complain!!!!! THis is supposed to be a fun and happy time of the year...let's keep it that way.
