uk hystrix prices

how much are hystrix in the uk at the moment ?

for instance : what would a pup cost , what would a 12" adult cost ?

does anyone know of any available ?
 
thanks for your opinion. shame nobody else was willing to offer one considering this small species is so hard to find. ie . demand and availability usually drives price etc

im not saying its worth more or less just unusual that there are so few opinions

interesting :)

I sold a 7- 8 inc female for £100 in jan this year.. Was advertised in ac for several weeks.

Only yesterday I received an email from a shipper in Brazil, I told them how much i was willing to pay for a shipment of Hystrix, both pups 5" disc and sub adults, they got back to me saying they wanted £180ea for "small ones"......I love these rays but not that much lol !!....needless to say I rejected the offer.
I would gladly pay double T1s valuation for a 12" adult female long term captive so if anyone has such a fish let me know, these are special rays that many people can provide aquariums for due to the smaller sizes attained, this alone will drive the price back up if they become impossible to get.....all about supply and demand!
One of the nicest rays on this forum for me happens to be a Hystrix, its the female Proximus owns in Norway....what a stunner that is!

You would pay double my estimate yet you turned down £180 that doesn't make sence

What have i told you about reading and absorbing before hitting the keyboard.

If you read it over again you will see that they were offering "SMALL ONES" for £180, you however were talking about £125 for an adult as a maximum price, I would gladly pay £250 for an adult with a 12" disc.
If they want £180 for wild pups from Brazil then a 12" fish would be almost Bd price....ridiculous!! I'm sure there are cheaper shippers over there but this is just one example.
 
If I wanted one bad enough I would pay £180

I'm sure if you told them you would pay £250 for adults they would do it
