I have seen alot of other countries native tanks, i was wondering if anyone had a UK narive tank, i was having a think and in the UK we do have some cool fish such as perch that i used to catch when fishing and imo are really nice fish with that predator feal about them witch i like as i keep cichlids.

So basically has anyone done this? Any pics? Once i upgrade i will have a spare 100 gall tank that i am not sure what to do with and would like to do something a bit different.

i have a native ukrainian tank. i am guessing that we have the same fish.

I had one when I lived back in thw uk and now have a native pond (germany=same fish species as in UK)
What do you want to know?

One of the other original staff members here from Dan from Leeds had a native tank with perch plus others. Long time ago now can't remember the full details though. Another member Carl had a native tank quite large with pike plus an outdoor pond which housed a wels catfish.
We've got 2 in one thread lol.

Pictures, tank size, tank mates, would i need a cooler? i was thinking of having pearch. Would love a pike but they will get way to big for my 100 gall, pearch might to infact!

Sorry don't have any pics of the old tank.. I do of my pond though ;).
In a 100 gal you could either keep 2-3 perch without tankmates, or 1 perch with small cyprinids like bleak or rudd. If you'd need a cooler depends on where the tank is located, if its in a warm room near a window yes, but otherwise no with the species I suggested.
