I have been doing a bit of research into UK native fish and found that there are actually many nice fish.

To think that i have been spending all this money on tropical fish when i hadnt even explored the possibilties of what is in my own back yard!

Anyway im off to the beach this weekend to see if i can find some of these.

i should be able to pick a few of these up in rockpools within 2km of my house, with a bit of luck the others i should be able to get on rod and line

5th fish is pretty cool looking. What is it? realistic to keep in an aquarium?

Remember to flatten the barbs on your hooks so they come out easily.

You should see what we have in Florida, get yourself a mask & snorkle.

.

5th fish is a male cuckoo wrasse and from what ive been told it is easy enough to keep as long as you have the room and can keep the temp down.

DR Joe i would love to be able to just put a mask and snorkel on and go netting but the clarity of the water isnt always that brilliant plus its always freakin cold here!!

i would love to live somewhere like florida where there is so much variety on offer maybe i can retire early?
