I need help
I have gone through 4 green wolf eels in the past 3 months. I have extensive live rockwork in my tank for them to hide in, so they all seem happy at first. After 3-5 days in the tank, they develop bright lime green spots about the size of a dime sporadically located on their bodies. In 24-48 hours these spots erupt into bloody nastiness. I quarantine them as soon as I notice the problem, but no treatment seems to have any effect. It looks like fungus, but the fungus treatment doesn't work. Neither does the parasite or marine ich treatments. I have never seen anything like this in the 10 years I've been keeping salt fish. All the other fish (purple tang, big-eye squirrel, and Singapore angel) are completely unaffected.
What the heck?
