I have a lone male gorillus black umbee in the neighborhood of 8". Always been so laid back never rushing the glass or anything. Beautiful fish but honestly I was a little disappointed in the lack of interaction up to this point. Last night my kids were tossing a green dodgeball back and forth in living room and I notices umbee seemed agitated fins flaring colors popping. I held the ball up to the glass and he just went off, hates that ball with every fiber of his being. Strange, anyway is this just the beginning of his aggression or is it just a specific hate of green balls?

Imo umbees seem to be late developers, I know my mates was 12 inch before it turned into a beast

Idk, the few that I've had I started off...I should say tried to start off in communities and the males were already too aggressive for that at 4-5in and alone they were charging the glass and flaring up at me by 6in, but I've only had Rio mag. umbees which from what I've been told are a little more aggressive than the other species.
