Now that male really IS a blue freckled monster, it's beautiful. What size is he? How big is your tank? How aggressive are they at breeding time? Dovii and Umbees are the only two large cichlids I have not owned yet, the Jags I used to have went ballistic when anything went in or even near the tank when eggs or fry were present. I would imagine Umbees are worse....
