Umbee coloration while guarding fry

Thought I would post some pics of my rio mag umbees while guarding their young. As you can see the base color is very yellow on both fish turning the male much more green and the female very bright glowing yellow. Great looking pair:) i love the freckles on that male. what kinda lights are you using, im not used to seeing that much yellow on large males? i was thinking that maybe it was just your lights that brought those colors out a lil more on him?
 
No that's just how he looks when he's in daddy mode my lights are 1 acintic blue and 3 10000K. When they don't have babies he is very blue/purple. When they lay eggs he is gold

Pretty close to 14" now and getting very deep and thick. He is deeper than my iPhone is long so around 5.5". He is starting to become a real bas&$@d if my plecos get to close to the fry he will grab them by the tail and drag them to the other side and to the top of the tank! They try to get away but he is just too strong. I have tried to catch them but the overflow gets in the way and being 29 inches deep it is a real challenge especially when these two are driving me out with those nasty teeth!
