UMBEE! Columbian Magadelena vs. Panamanian Green

Can someone shed some light on the difference in the two strains of Umbriferus ("Umbee"). I'm about to order some growouts and there's an option between the Columbian Magadelena vs. Panamanian Green. I think my last batch was the Panamanian Green that I gave to a friend to grow out.... thinking of getting the Columbian version this time around. Thanks.

The Colombian would be the "normal" blue umbee.

I'd highly doubt that you had the Panama green umbee without knowing it.

i got a 9" F1 female some time ago from rapps, other than her i've never seen any for sale.

I think Ken has all the fry from Regans pair but i havent seen any bigger than that around...

On the color strains i believe that the green is just a color variant of the blue, one thing im not sure about is the size if there is a difference.

I would go with the rare one personally. I havent seen a big mature specimen but the colors i have seen on them are very nice.

I really doubt you had greens, to my knowledge there haven't been any available for years other than a few wilds Rapps got a hold of. I will have Reagans spawn in a few weeks and they will be available after the first of the year. Ken

I stand corrected! I had the two swapped around..... I have/had Columbian variant. We're doing a group buy here in So. Cal. thru Don Conkel and he stated he has both available. I'm leaning towards the Panamanian Green then if in fact they are what he says they are. Thanks guys.... I'll post some pictures when we get the order and they get situated.
