Umbee Coming Out of Their Shells

Had these 2 for a month and a half now and they are really comin out their shells and interacting in front of me. Skittish for quite a while, but comin around. Coloring up a lot too since I got them although me cell camera doesnt show it well. They are alot more turquoise than they appear in the vid. No clear indicators of sex yet...just lots of head shaking, digging, and displaying.

Looking good. Where did you get them? As far as sexing goes, they both look male to me in the video. But before I can give a positive ID, ill need another video or pics so I can get a better look.
 
Thanks guys! I got them from Rapps. I too was thinking male, but havent seen any clear indicators other than lack of female traits....I am a novice with umbee though. I am gonna try a different camera tonight to better capture the colors and such so we'll see how it comes out. What are you seeing FWP that makes you think male?
 
Maybe closer shots would help. from what i see, they look identical in color and pattern and their foreheads are showing a reddish/brown, blues seem apparent on entire body which are male traits, and their behavior isnt saying to me that they are showing off for opposite sex but for the same sex trying to display dominance:) Ive raised plenty of umbee and the more i raise, the easier it is to sex them. But like i said after i can get a better confirmation im not 100% sure, its just my initial thought;)
 
Looking good! I to got some from rapps and he is starting to really color up as well. He is four inch. How big are yours? I think jeff has a really good batch goinh out
 
Thanks guys! The biggest is just over 5" and the smaller probably just under 5". Mine were skittish for over a month, but as soon as they got comfortable the colors started coming on strong. The vid is really doing them no justice. Look forward to seeing your guys' Umbee!
