Anyone here have an Umbee in a community tank?

I think I seen on here someone said there was a video around with one in a community tank, I'd like to see it. So far all the ones on YT are single or paired with a female.

Many times have I wanted to move around all my fish and add the Umbee in the 500, but I think/know that would be a death sentence for the rest of the fish but man would he look good in there.

Edit: Soon as I post this I find one, in a small tank with small fish. Mine is bigger than this one thou.

Another guy has a 1400 gallon, a lot bigger than what I have.

I was just going to post that video :)

I had him in with some other cichlids for quite awhile. He would chase them but that's as far as it went. I removed them shortly after this video in hopes that he would spawn with the female which he did. I'm not sure how he would be once they spawned. Since they spawned he now bites me but he has never laid a beating to his female. It could work but always a risk I guess.
Guapote Mel had his pair with other fish but his tank was huge. Trace also, I believe, so maybe he will chime in.

I may do this, we will be moving in a new house in the next 30 days and I want to make this 220 a community tank like the rest of my tanks. I have a female for him, just need to pick it up, the female wont be in with him, will go in the 265 or 220. He would be an awesome center piece if it does work.

I believe Mels lived with Festae until the Umbee male beat the festaes close to death.

I think a 265 will be the minimum for a Umbee pair, probably even more will be needed. I doubt they are going to accept anything else they view as a competitor in that size of a tank.
But I'm sure they'll be fine while they are growing, but doomsday will come one day.

I have a male and female umbee in my 250 gallon with 2 carpintis a male 3" and female 2.5" and 2 firemouths at 3". The male umbee is 5.5" and female is like 4.5" so far everything is good. The only real aggression is one firemouth chases both carpintis but that's it.
