This lil guy is awesome lol... quickly becoming my favorite fish. He's around 3.5"-4" and has been with me for a little more than 2 weeks. F1 rio magdalena from gage.

Great umbee and very nice tank. Thats a very lucky umbee to have all that tank to himself with all that space he will grow up to be a big mean glass banger. GO UMBEE!!!!!
Nice Umbee. Seems like a lot of jagged edges in that tank though, I'd be careful a beautiful fish like that doesn't damage himself.

You're right the rocks are not exactly smooth but they're not too sharp either... I stuck my hand in there several times and it actually feels nice to the touch. It's a very thin layer of substrate and I made sure to leave enough room for him to hide and move around between the rocks without having to squeeze in and scratch himself. Also the lighting is very subdued and the water current is gentle so that he doesn't get spooked and hurts himself. I think he'll be fine... if not I'll have to re-scape even though I love the way it looks now.
