hi all im new to this site, and need some expert advice which im told i will find here, the question is how much should i be paying for a 4-5" umbee (caquetaia umbriferus) or blue speckled monster, because my lfs is basicly saying that they are very rare and expensive, they can get one like i said 4-5" but wants £70 pounds which would be around 120-130 dollers, does that sound right or to much or are they just realy realy rare in england (only one ive ever seen and ive been looking for ages) one last thing, are they as crazy as the guy in the shop says because he is basicly saying when these dudes get big there hands down the most crazy cichlid, true or false

Not sure on price over there. Here a WC around 6" will go somewhere around $100. Smaller F1 seem to go for around $15-20 around 2-3". They are up at the top of agressive species. Males get around 24".
I'm in Washington state (USA) and a store here has around 6 Umbee's around the 4" mark and they are asking $25 a piece. These fish do not appear to be anything special at this point with hardly any coloration and kind of shy personality.
The Umbee's are not super common in my area but they are far from rare. I tend to see a lot more of the Dovii for sale in my area.

thanks for the replys so far i will defo be giving oddball express a ring tommorow, hope they have some at a larger size because the ones mentioned will be to small, anyone have any more info on if these are indeed the top cichlid or not what is many thanks
