Umbee Male or Female?

What do you think male or female. Umbee is about 3 to 4 inches and is in my quarantine tank. He is about to go into my freshly purchased 250 gallon aquarium. I know it might be to early to tell cause of the size but it's fun to start speculating. Bought him from Dan of CichlidsoftheAmericas.

Here is a picture without flash. Very hard to take a picture without blur since the Umbee moves constantly.

I think female but with a little time you will know for sure.

Its got some nice freckles for sure but im sorry i cant sex that yet.. give it a lil more time to settle in and re-post

Judging by the freckling , body and head shape.

Male possibly , my guess.

I've had two male Umbees in the past but they did not color up much at all until they were over 6 inches. This one has a ton of color for such a small size. I just can't get the color to come out in the pictures. It is going to be very aggressive. It already flares up at me at such a small size.

this is late thread. but if you have pic now it would be really nice to see if he developed the nice lump on his head. i know for sure that's male
