ive heard about salt, but wat proportions?? and how high should i go with the temp? i have it at 82< because i have a breeding pair of dovii with eggs in the tank

working on the tank with my buddy, but how should i treat the wound??? hes about 13 inches n i for sure dont want him to die, im not even sure wat it is
I'd lay money that a dovii did it...
Treat with temp and salt and let it do it's course---If worse resort to other options---But raised temps and salt is a good start...Should heal up on it's own if your water is in order.....

You may also catch the umbee and swab the wound with either iodine or hydrogen peroxide. You do not need to raise the temp as this can encourage fungus, use 1 tbsp salt per five gallons for this type of treatment, melafix wouldn't hurt.
