My 8" male Umbee cichlid passed away yesterday. This is the second Umbee I have been through. The day before he died he was his normal self eating and eveyrthing. But yesterday he started to act differently. He was isolating himself from all the other fish in one spot which he has never done. I noticed that at the base of his fins, it was a blood red. Ive been trying to research what it is but still no luck. And the same thing happened to my previous Umbee when it was about the same size. I read that umbees are prone to disease when they reach adulthood. I am definetly going to purchase another. If you guys can help me to identify why he died it will be greatly appreciated so i know for next time.
