Just wanted to share some photos of a few of my favorite species in the fish room.

My Rio mag male. He’s currently paired up with a Rio yanacue female.

RTM pair. They spawn about every 6 weeks.

Just arrived today. 5 young Amphilophus lyonsi. Hoping to get a pair and spawn these as I’ve always wanted this species. Super pumped to finally have some. If anyone knows what size you can sex these or at what size they typically pair off, please let me know.

They all have nice colors, good job, just curious, are they all in the same tank, what size tank is your Umbee in?

Na each species is in their own tank. The Umbee is in a 300 gallon stock tank right now.

Foundation for my new house was supposed to be poured in October and they still haven’t got it done! Contractor is hoping house will be done in a year and a half. At that point umbees will move into one of my acrylic tanks, either a 405 gallon or 600 gallon in the new fish room.

Well looking through pics I just realized I missed a RTM fry in my 180. Can see him here on the right side of the picture. He’s with the lyonsi growouts. I guess I’ll just keep an eye on him for now.

They all look amazing! Umbee is one of my bucket list cichlids. It's strange that it's hard to get quite a few of the bigger CA/SA in Canada, but Asian aro's are easy. Good luck with the Lyonsi! Can't wait to see them when they grow a little.
