Can someone identify the sex of my new blue freckle monster?

Thanks!

Thanks!

That is probably best because I didn't really have room for a male.
She is in a 180 gal tank.

Very interesting fish, definately a predator, patrols the tank and will bust the top of the water for super worms, crickets, etc...

She is from Rapps, quick delivery, great condition as usual.

Could I get some more information about a female umbee:

Are they as aggressive as the males?

How big do they get?

How do they do with tankmates of similar aggro like a male trimac?

Thanks!

Never kept a Umbee before, but im sure as for keeping her with a trimac in a 180 will only work for a matter of time until the trimac kills her, or until they pair up, not sure if you want a bunch of tri x umbee fry? I would think you would need a minium of 250-300 for both fully mature fish to co-exist. As always it will also depend on each fishes personality aswell.

to answer your question abiddle about how aggressive female umbees get...yes they are just as mean as the males. However, they do not get as big..about 14"

Carlos:

How do your umbees and flowerhorns get along? Who is dominant?

The umbees are the dominant fish in the tank. The tanks full so the umbees agression is not centered on one fish. Not only that, the fishes I have in the tank pretty much holds their own. The umbee was the last fish introduced in the tank. I got them at about 4" and the flowerhorns and other cichlids were 6-8". Now, the umbees are the biggest fishes in the tank. They all have been together for about a year so they kind of grew up together. There isnt too much squabbling, minor arguements here and there.
