So ive got this umbee right now he is in my 180 with a pleco and a male and female convict the cons havent paired up. I want to know what you guys think as far as sex is. And i messed up on the tank divider incase anyone is wondering why the fish is on both side of it i got to get another sheet to make another divider.

im kinda leaning towards the male side aswell on this one...=] im just saying what im seeing...since your's has lots of nicer colorations than of what most younger females get...and lots of blue freckles on it's check plate...and his head is kinda more maleish from most of the pics you posted...but lets just see what XR says about it...

Nice im glad everyone thinks its a male. I have 5 others im trying to grow out but there nowhere near HIS size. Eventually i can hopefully breed him with a female.
