If you hold the fish and look at its vent, on a female, one of the depositor will be larger than the anus. On a male, they will usually both look about the same size.
mines pointy...like a V thats why i asked...cause i thought it was female was V and U was male...so its V thats for males...i'll get pics up of it but i tried venting it downstairs at the tank by taking it out but i can't get a clear picture with the zoom...so i'll just post pics of his whole body
eggs are much bigger than sperm, that's why females have the bigger, U shaped... uh.. appendage. sperm are very small cells suspended in liquid, so a V shaped nozzle is more effective.
