Can anyone help with sexing Umbee's. I've 10 growing on and haven't got a clue with sexing these. This is the largest at 6 1/2". Thank's NEV'

you have a good shot at a male. lots of freckles, a sharp point at the end of the fins (could later be trailers) starting to color up, its the bigest one. All signs point to male, but ive seen few females go this route. I wouldnt bet my balls on it yet but I would be surprised if it were female. In fact, you would be very lucy to have a female look so nice.

I have a 10 inch female that has trailers that passes its back fin, and I've seen females with alot more freckles. So at this point its only a guess, so I say male, because I don't see any dark spots on its dorsal.
Yes, but not every female show it, I've seen 4-6 inch females show it and I have read on this site that some females didnt show it till 8-12 inches, So only time will tell.
