I had about 6- 4" umbees in a 110g tank. Didn't think i would have any issues for a while but the alpha male killed off what i believe was another male. I know i will eventually have to move them but i really wanted to see if i could get two of them to pair off before I started separating. The alpha male keeps picking on the rest of the bunch. Are there any bichirs or whatever that i can add to distract this guy? I would love to get as much time out of this tank as possible. thanks

you can get tankmates that umbee probably wouldnt kill such as bichirs but the bichirs are not going to stop the umbies from killing each other. bottom line is your going to end up with 1 umbee or 2 umbees if you have a male and female that get along. tank is also going to be to small in the long run but should be fine for about a year
