Umbee tankmates

I know umbees can not stand their own kind, but how about a barred midas ?
I know a lot really depends on the fish, but has anyone kept umbees with other cichlids ?

I've got my grow outs in with big silver dollars but I'm sure when the umbees get big enough ill have to separate

Tank size is really the determining factor as what can be kept with them....so with that how big is the tank?

Umbee with Amphs? Maybe when juveniles and in a massive tank. Once somebody in that tank hits maturity, it'll probably be "Game Over" for tankmates. I think you'd be be ok with some schooling dithers that are quick (SD's, Tinfoils, Roselines, Etc). But in this hobby, you never know what works or won't until you give it a shot. Good Luck!

Solo or with a mate that is your option really. Umbees are just to aggressive I love them to death though. You really don't need anything else in the tank the umbee will fill it up and have a lot of personality
