Could be either. You nor anyone else will know for sure til it gets bigger as both males and females can sometimes display the same traits. It's good looking and looks like a male but don't count on it til much larger.

Nice fish I was going to tell you to ask Mojo as he has experience with the fish But I see you already did "somewhere else" I want one really bad they are the only large new world cichlid I have not kept So many fish so little room

Yeah but it looks more towards a male females wouldn't really have tht coloration but it seems that u have a different light on the tank..to bring out the blues

i didnt say it was either
