Just wanted to show off an Umbee I’ve been growing out. I actually came across this at a local store for a great price and had to grab it, no clue on its locale so if anyone is aware I’d love to hear your thoughts.

There is no way to know for sure know unless you bought it from reputable source and even then who really knows.
I am sure about Rio claro and I am guessing male from the length of the body. Females at that size are usually more shorter if that makes any sense
When we don't know ask those who do. I suggest taking this question to Chris the umbeeking. Who would know better? And to be clear, I am saying that I am 100% sure it's rio Claro, not that it's 100% pure bloodline. BUT strong strong rio Claro blood
I definitely see the Rio Claro now that I look. And no clue on whether it’s pure, source was far from reputable being an LFS getting it as a rehome and virtually no info on it. I’d love to get my hands on a pure pair one day and have a huge tank for them. Thanks for the ID fellas
What size do Umbees decide to start becoming aggressive? I currently have him in a mixed growout before being moved to its own tank
