During an interview, when kanye west was asked "who do you think can replace nelson mandela in terms of social change and leadership?"
Kanyes answer honestly made me think this was a joke by matt and trey of south park, but really, he says "i am the new nelson mandela" and "nelson did a lot of good work, but im going to be better" and that his music "liberates minds all over the world, all mandela did was liberate a few people from apartheid or whatever"
When asked if he did anything for social change like mandela did, he went off on how good his music was. Hes never been a part of any social movement or faced any of the imjustices mandela did.
Seriously, i hated people like kanye west before but now its turned into a loathing. These rappers and hip hop dudes never do anything for anyone, only brag about their music and lives, cars and women. When they can make a real difference if they wanted to. Over everything that disgusts me the most, with their money they can be doing GOOD things for the benefit of all.
Really though, dont these remarks remind everyone of the episode of south park with him? He literally says some of the same things his spoof character says. I never thought anyone could be that conceited!
