unbelievable crazy hybrid catfish

found this picture of a weird catfish on a fishing website , this fish came from a pond in Thailand . Its a cross between a mekong giant catfish and a red tailed catfish , never seem this hybrid before and thought it would be impossible to make as these 2 species are very different , from different continents and also different biology , one a predominantly meat eater and the other more of a plankton and detritus feeder .

Looks like an oddly colored pangasius. I don't see any red tail cat on it. I think the color is throwing you off.

I have seen that picture many times. The parron shark crossed with south american red tail catfish looks nothing like that but the parron shark is from Africa and looks like a mini mekong giant catfish.
