Is there anything good at all in UGF. I have it in my 125 gal freshwater tank and all I get is that it is no good. My LFS uses them in all there tanks , which made me think that they are useful. Is this not the case?

They are great at colonizing beneficial bacteria. My tanks were also the clearest whenever I used UGF's! UGF's with powerheads compared to no UGF's will alllow for higher stocking levels. They have pro's and con's just like anything else. MFK has many a thread about UGF's. You might want to do a search.

I have UGF on most of my tanks and I think that it helps period with the startup of good bac and the continuing of better bac so it will not hurt to have them on there

Well the tray does get disturbed as my jag loves to move gravel but as i am monitoring from underneath visually all seems to be ok according to some i have talked to about this. There is a little BB build up toward the front of my 125 gal but the other 3/4 of the bottom of the tank toward the 5 uplifts and 1 uplift with a powerhead attached looks clean.Plus i also have 2 HOB's a 30-60 and emperor 400.
