So I have a gravel bottom and its a planted tank. I want to try and set up some type of spray to get under the gravel and mix it up since my filtration right now is twin HOB aquaclear 110s. I was thinking some kind of jet setup but I'm curious if anyone has done this with plants and if it completely messed them up and if anyone has done it on a tank that's already running? What types of pumps would I need to run it. It's a 6' long tank

I was thinking about one line running down the front of the tank. Thoughts on if that would be enough to disturb under the gravel to the back to hopefully reach the filters

One of my best low tech planted tanks was a reverse flow undergravel filter setup

I don't have anything under gravel at the moment. Which is why it will probably be a huge pain to setup but I have pretty thick gravel layer to try and keep the plants seated. ( stupid Pleco uprooting) so I'm trying to figure out the best setup before I start buying stuff

Trying to figure out a jet setup to disturb the bottom to accompany the aquaclear 110s

I think I understand the concept of the upward facing jets. I'm just trying to figure out a good pump size to use. Since I don't want to disturb the plants too much.

Anyone use a Rio 2100? I'm looking at that for my power head. Figure 700 GPH is good current without disturbing the plants. Anyone with a rio line. Pros/cons?
