does anyone know where I could pick up one for fairly cheap, and how are they working for those that have them?

I've never heard of an undergravel heater. Why don't you just get a regular heater? The Doctor

yeah more or less a substrate heater but the ones i have found need a regulator for them and the regulator costs almost 4x the amount of the heating cable

Is there a particular reason you want an under gravel one versus a normal one?

Those are more suited for planted tanks and not for actual heating of the tank

well i am going to be planting my 46 gallon here soon and wanted to run an undergravel heater instead of a normal one to keep it hidden

Where would you put the undergravel filter. Is the heater like a heating pad because if it's like a regular long heater I think only one part of your gravel would be heated because there wouldn't be any water flow to spread the heat, The Doctor.

My bad, just look them up and the heater is like a pad so the heat would be evenly dispersed, The Doctor
