Everybody knows about the Arowanas, Stingrays , Peacockbasses and all the common staple of a MFK Setup . But what are the monster fishes that you think are not represented well in the hobby?

Give us and example and convince us why we should pay more attention to that particular species.

Nursery fish because they are big fish eating oddballs, they get about 23-24" long and the males, pictured carry their eggs hanging "like a bunch of grapes" from that hook on their forehead

I'm with guppy on nursery fish, they're awesome... I think I've only seen them for sale once though. :( Another would be driftwood cats, and to some extent knives... when compared to things like aros, bichirs, or even gars not a lot of people have the rarer or more unusual ones.

How about those gulper catfish?

what about an african clawed frog.. i dont hear much about them.. i have one that i caught one day with my rubber head pleco in his mouth. but the pleco was to big for him to eat..and i know its not a fish but thought i would throw it in..

The mini-monsters, pure bad actors like Phago maculatus (African Pike Characin) 8", Belanosox belizanus (Pike Topminnow)5-8". Any cachorro. African pike. Any eel, Lots of gobies (marbled goby). Wood cats and Eeltailed cats. Archers.

Giant Koi are often overlooked.
