Underwater jets?

Has anyone ever made underwater jets ....and what would they be used for?

If you go to www.cichlid-forum.com and look around there are lots of people with undergravel jets (UGJ). I am putting some in my new 135 and basicly they propel water upwards to keep waste and debris from collecting on the substrate.

u mean different from power heads?

u could just use a under gravel filter and turn the powerheads to reverse

Powerheads and tubing, use it to direct the current for fish that like to swim against it.
