I just bought a new waterproof digital camera and was messing around with it while swimming today. My lake is pretty murky, so focusing was a bit difficult. I'm bringing it to Hawaii with me this September, where the picture should be much clearer and attractive. I'm an absolute novice when it comes to underwater photography so please do not critique me. However, pointers and helpful hints are welcomed.

Thanks! I had a few more but ditched them due to their quality. They were quite frisky SM's and did not seem to care I was there. There were also a few perch and sunfish there, though they were not cooperating and smiling for the camera.

Nice shots. what kind of camera is it? I have a stylus 770SW. Its made by Olympus. Im very happy with it. Haven't gotten to test out underwater shots yet but its great to take fishing. Already dropped it in the water once.

It's a Olympus Stylus 1030SW, so far i love it. I must admit it is weird jumping in with a naked camera. One cool feature is the built in manometer and it will display your depth on the screen which seemed to be pretty accurate.

Freshwater always seems to be creepier on dives.

Cool shots!
