This is an endli. Came from wetspot. First endli we've had. Is about 2 inches long. Is he underweight or is it normal for a tiny one to have such a big head relative to the body? He is eating pellets.

Thats pretty normal, most online vendor dont feed the fish too much, i guess they dont want them to produce waste during shipping cause of ammonia, just my opinion.

Try giving slice tilapia fillet, makes them get fat faster.
 
Yeah vendors and lfs don't feed their fish much for a lot of reasons. It reduces cost of keeping the fish, reduces maintenance, keeps them from growing too quickly, safer shipping. And on top of that sometimes you get one that's just not that aggressive of an eater, so their tankmates eat all the food, which goes unnoticed in store with thousands of fish. That guy probably just was at wet spot for a while. He'll beef up in no time, just pay particular attention to making sure he gets his share

wow. that is a really big head and small body. Hope he gets some meat on his bones soon. :)
 
you can speed things up by feeding finely chopped tilapia bits
 
Looks like my cb when i first got it. For the little guys i make meatballs....lol tilapia and hikari carnivore meatballs
