Uneasy with New fish given to me

I was just given about 12 pieces tinfoils.
did not know that they were sick , but when i saw them most of them had popeye and dropsy
when i got home , about 4 pieces were already dead. the others were bloated, i had to euthanize them , but I removed 4 pieces which looked healthy and euthanized the rest. problem is i don't have a quarantine tank, so i just dumped them into my arowana tank .
now I feel uneasy, any advise?
the pieces that i saved looked healthy. But I don't feel at ease having dumped them into my arowana tank.
I saw an ad giving away fish, it was mentioned that there were only 5 pieces but when i got there. there were 12 pieces .

I would advise you to say goodbye to your other fish, just in case.

Seen it before aro is toast. Never dump them in especially knowing being around other sick fish.

Remove them asap just to be safe. The 4 tinfoils you added were exposed to whatever was affecting the other fish. It would be a shame if your Aro somehow got affected as well.

thanks, so far the Tinfoils seem to be doing well and competing fgor food, But I'll also be giving them away soon.
I'm just curious, how should i refer to them when counting ?
