that is a very dangerous cage for a terrestrial T, If it were to fall from that height it would for sure die. Ground dwelling T's like rosehairs shouldn't really be kept in a cage anymore than twice as tall as the spider is long.

im not a big spider person, but that doesnt look like it is any where near high enough to die

Maybe not die but get seriously hurt. As a keeper you would want to avoid situations like this.

I know my pink toe got his toe caught in the screen of one of those cages and was dangling by one leg, I would watch for that too, especially with a T that is supposed to be a ground dweller.

the fall may not kill it right away but usually any serious injury to a T is very hard to treat and they can 'bleed out' if they get a crack in their exoskeleton and you are not there to fix it. The basic rule for terrestrial T's that most keepers go by is that the cage should be no higher than twice the length of the spider to prevent injury

and 28" is a pretty big fall for a small T like a rosehair

put as much substrate as you can and you should be ok, but still might want to get a 5 gallon for him so he doesnt get hurt.
