Unexpected surprise

Came home from work this morning to my Oscars guarding some eggs.
Not sure if they're fertilized, but I'm super excited about it!!!
Just wanted to share the joy.

They’re not fertile at this time. Once they become fertilized they’ll turn a light tan-ish color. Also looks like your ocellatus had a little case of HLLE.

Oh, hole in the head. If you're talking about that ring on his forehead, it's been there since he was a baby. I thought it was HITH too. I've accepted that he's just weird.

Well, now there's twice as many eggs and still no signs of fertilization, so I'm thinking I might have 2 females.
Still exciting though. First time I ever had an Oscar spawn.
