in the last couple days ive lost a jaguar cat, cory, and a couple other bottom feeders. The temps have been around 82 because of the heat. All my other perameters have been fine. Everything is solid. My tank has been set up for over three years. The only difference is that I have been feeding some frozen brine I have had in my freezer for a about a month. I have been doing my regular wc's once a week. I am running around 1000 gph of canister filtration and always have air bubbles running for good aeration because of the higher than usual temps. I always run bubbles no matter waht the temps as I killed almost my entire stock last year. All the fish apear to be healthy and eating and the jag was eating yesterday. Severums, geos, bgk at 10 inches, 5" uarus(spawning). I watch my tank daily obviously because its in my living room and have not seen any aggresion other than the uarus being territorial. Anybody think the uarus are going after slower fish and killing them? Maye the brine shrimp has gone bad? all the other stock has eaten it and been fine.....m at a loss! any ideas?

When I pull out the dead stock thay are not beat up, finned nipped etc. just noticed my atabpos sevs have spawned as well.....oh ya...this is a 180gallon. there is also a ton of hiding spots under rocks, in driftwood etc. im thinking the water is fine since I have the sevs spawning. I dont have any other tanks to move the spawners as they are all filled with angel breeders..You guys think im having aggression with the spawners? The jag never comes out..I had to feed him with tongs. He ate night crawlers and market shrimp. Maybe the bgk is getting big enough to be a predator? all the dead stock has been 3-4 inches. Little big for the bgk to go after stock?

all my fish have been raised since fry or damn near close. I think I would be able to tell if they were sick. Not any sign of stringy poo, labored breathing etc. Just waking up to floaters. still have same species of the dead eating and acting normal. I have a well so no city water bs.

I would say maybe they spawning fish are killing them? I had my rays kill off 7 tin foils over night, and they had no visible marks as well.

I doubt it's the brine. I bulk up on brine, and it's in my freezer for 3+ months at a time.

sorry for your loss, hopefully you can figure out whats going on
