Agreed - looks like a young dempsey to me.

Could you provide another image? The face seems a little off for a jack to me and has a more pointed snout, making me question if it could be or have Salvini in it. Does it change colour at all? darken with mood etc?

Looks like a juvie Trichromis salvini to me too.
With Rocio (JDs) the horizontal bar does not extend all the way thru the eye onto the nose, with salvini, it does.
