hey all looking to get a new 300 gal tank for my arowana. i want go acrylic but will not turn my back on glass. what do you think of the uniquarium tanks with the built in filtration? good and bad input would be great. thx a ton.

also if you have any other brands you recommend im all ears that goes for sump set up as well. thx

I may be mistaken but don't those tanks have the wet/dry on the back? If so they include the filtration in the overall tank gallonage / measurements. This means that you lose a good bit of your footprint in order to have the all in one tank. With an arowana the footprint is pretty important.

If I am wrong about the tank design please feel free to correct me or just ignore me completely. :)

Be sure to check out www.glasscages.com for your tank also. I went with one and I am very happy with it. I purchased a glass 300 wide from them but they make acryllic tanks as well.

thanks for the input. i went ahead and bought a 300gal glass tank i got for a steal at 341.00 i could not turn it down. did the sump set up and stacked 2 100gph canisters on it. So far everything is working perfect no big fish in it yet have some goldfish to break it in. only thing is now that i have the 300 gal i want a 500 so im not sure if my wife will stay with me, but i have to push the envelope :). hell i should just build a tank and build my house in the tank.(great idea)

man thats a steal!

WOW, I wish I could have found one for that price. You practically stole it, good job! Now, where are the pictures??? :D
