Hi Everyone,
One of the projects I'm working on over the next few months is a centralized filtration area for my 3 tanks... 1 - 125 and 1 - 120, both non drilled and 1 - 72 bow, drilled. For the non drilled tanks, I noticed that I can buy something called a "CPR Continuous Siphon Overflow," along with a aqua lifter pumps. I was thinking of getting these and then have the overflows for all 3 tanks meet at 1 centralized pipe that will lead to a custom sump of some sort.
With that, I have a couple of questions...
1) How large should the sump be to accommodate all 3 tanks? I have an extra 55 gallon sitting around but I wasn't sure if that is large enough
2) Is anyone out there using this CPR thing for non drilled tanks? This is completely foreign to me and getting some tips with these would be extremely helpful
3) If you have a unique filtration/plumbing setup, could you kindly post some pics? I'm thinking about setting up the plumbing for my setup in laundry room which is directly behind my tanks.
