I have a 75 gallon tank setup in my office and right now I have a 5" green terror in there by itself. I was wanting to add a pleco to finish the tank off. I was looking at a royal pleco but I didn't know if that got too big. If not a royal pleco would a gold nugget pleco be a good tank mate? I just want a unique pleco that can hold its own with a green terror and won't get too huge for the tank.

Royals might be too big, yes, and they produce a lot of poop. Gold nugget seems just about right for what you're trying to do.

I think Royals are slow growers because mine eats about a pound of wood a day and then craps out about a pound and a half.

GN are wusses and might not do well with that tank mate. They're also slow growers.

L-91 are aggressive and can handle their own it's a good suggestion. They grow quicker than most IME
