unknown fish id

I bought this fish a couple of year's ago ,i was told it was a pearl catfish (Mystus castaneus) it's not but don't know what it is exactly,does anyone have an idea ? He is about 11inches now i had to give him to my brother (has monster's) when fish started dissapearing in my tank.

It's nothing north american. Look at the dorsal fin.

Kind of looks like a columbina shark a little, but I know its not.

that looks alot like a hemibagrus nemurus but it so dark could be a morph have you seen it latly is it lighter in color know but i'm 95% sure thats what it is
