Today I discovered a small fry hiding in the rocks I appears to be a Kenyi. But here's the confusing part I only have two Kenyis and both males I have two unsexed blue dolphins a unsexed red jewel and unsexed yellow lab. I never seen any breeding signs in the tank and it's the only one. All my cichlids have been together since small and are now not over a year old. Could it be a hybrid and how does one survive.

Could be a hybrid only time will tell, but if you really want to see what it is you should separate it from the others. I once put in some female yellow peacocks in a tank with a mabenji male and 2 females to act as a buffer for the aggression and when the female mabenji was holding the frys turned out half yellow and half mabenji. That means the yellows who looked all female ( no color at all) one of them was a male .
