I got this fish from a friend of mine at work and he says it was labeled in the LFS as "Misc. Flowerhorn" and right now it looks nothing like any FH I have seen. Before I spurt out what I think it might be, I would like to see what other people have for ideas as to what type of fish this really is...

These pictures were taken during the day. I noticed that when I turn the light on in the morning the vertical lines are as black as the lateral line. It is a light yellow/peach color. So far, no coloration on the fins other than a black spot on the dorsal fin.

the face and body shape kind of remind me of a jack dempsey.
 
Barred Midas, Amarillo in there? Looks like a Conphilophus. Interesting.
 
After seeing this thing change colors due to territorial battles, I am going with Honduran Red Point...maybe mixed with a convict. It no longer is pale yellow/peach but more of a dark gray with blue on the underside of the mouth. Dorsal fin has a line of blue also.
