Last Thursday we got in a shipment of small(3") pleco's that were supposed to be commons, but I don't think they are. The base color is dark brown with white marbled markings, their bodies are thinner than commons, they go nuts for blood worms, and they don't have omega eyes. I tried doing research, but haven't found anything yet. Any idea what they might be?

There are several species of loricariidae that are often sold as commons. It is likely the fish you saw was a sailfin, gibby.
