Hello I seen this bichir in a LFS I'm usually pretty good at knowing the species if some one could help me out with the species and price you'd put on it. It's good size at least a foot. If anybody is willing to I'd love to know what the rarest bichirs are in order.... Senegal lowest teugelsi mid etc. Thanks

At least a foot mokelemembe (pls correct me if I spell that wrong :D). You should get it!
P/s: I'd pay more than 100 to get that moke if it's true close to a foot! But right now no no for me :D. I'm good with my F1 teug ;)

Why do you guys say it is rare? I see them available pretty regularly.

Kody! I saw this today at Pisces reef :) They have it labeled Congicus but i definitely dont think it is that. the price is way too steep too lol

It is indeed a moke and I would have to have a ruler next to it to believe it is a foot. Like roger said they aren't that rare if you look in the right places. The rarity depends on if you are just talking about in your area or online, because online nothing is really that rare except for a couple things. In local areas it is harder to get a certain species compared to online where you can look all over the united states/your country.

Well thanks everyone for the help. I am positive it's around a foot. I use my phone for reference which is 5.5 inches long and it was about 2 of those. I've also kept 8 species, ansorgi being the most recent and I keep a PVC pipe labeled with inches so I'm pretty good and getting length correct lol. The owner said it was wild caught and I was wondering does that effect its temperament. Idk why I'm trying to prove its length it's not even my fish hahah but they are charging 170$ for it. Is that worth it, out here I'm Vegas I rarely see exotic bichirs

If it's rare in your area and it's that size then I'd pick it up.
