Can you tell me what species is this 12cm fish?

You're going to need to grow it up a bit more before we can give a positive ID. Paratheraps all look similar when small.
 
I can say it's 100% not synspilum. They don't have the full lateral bar. Could be just about any Paratheraps besides synspilum.
 
You're right, definently not a synspilum, laterial stripe is too low and thick, with the face spotting could be zonatum, but body shape looks more guttulatus. Ken

:iagree: yeah definitely not synspilum. could be bifasc, fenestratus, or either of what Ken said.

Oh, I'd also bet money that it's not melanarus either ;) lol

I have a pure Guttu and its close but not it.

I would agree with this being maybe a Bifas or Fenes. Google both and see which of what looks closely the same.
